A horse walker is a tool which allows you to work several horses at the same time under the supervision of a single person. Horses should not be left unwatched in the walker since they may get scared and try to escape, especially if they are not used to it. There should always be someone keeping an eye on them. When selecting a horse walker for our yard, we should take several factors into consideration:

Total or partial roofs enable horses to exercise even when the weather is bad. The roof we offer covers a 5-metre width, ensuring an effective protection. Roofs are important when it rains, but even more so in very hot areas, where they are essential if we want to be able to use the horse walker in the middle of the day without harming the horses. There are several roof models available and they can be installed even if the horse walker is already in place.

Last but not least, we also offer a windbreaker net with which to cover the space between the top of the fence and the roof. It is very useful in windy places and for horses to concentrate and stop paying attention to their surroundings.

A good maintenance of the arena footing is essential for the horses’ health and for the image given by the yard or club. For this purpose, it is vital to use the appropriate implements. The different arenas, depending on their composition and watering system, require different implements for their correct maintenance.

A very common problem in all arenas is the footing piling up near the rail or the arena kick-wall. We have found a specific solution for this: we offer an implement, with an adjustable support wheel, which “pulls in” the sand from the outer part of the arena. It can also include a small wheel to protect the arena kick-wall.

Horse treadmills are machines that are more precisely defined by their French name, “tapis roulant” (rolling carpet), since it is essentially a rubber matting that rolls by virtue of a trolling motor and two rollers. These machines were conceived to “recover” injured horses without the weight of a rider and they are derived from the treadmills people use and that we can see in all gyms.

The evolution of treadmills consisted on being able to incline the rubber floor to simulate slopes and force the horse to make more effort, further recruit its hind quarters and thus require less time on the machine. The change of working speed was something inherent to this evolution, as were the safety systems for the horse inside the machine. Eventually, searching to reduce the load on injured legs, the machine was combined with a swimming pool and the Aquatrainer was invented. In this machine, the horse has its legs in water up to the knees, more or less, which allows for a movement that, according to veterinary studies, enormously favours recovery.
